ScreenLogic on Apple Watch won't connect

Hi,

I've been happily using ScreenLogic on my iPhone for a couple of years now and I just got a new Apple Watch 2 and noticed there's a ScreenLogic app for that, too. Unfortunately, I can't get it to connect. When I launch the app on the watch it shows me a screen that lists my protocol adaptor name just like in the iPhone app when I'm not local. I tap on the name it it changes the screen to "connecting to..." with a spinning wheel. Then it goes back to the first screen listing.
I have confirmed, by using other apps, that the watch does have a connection to my home network and to my phone. I have also confirmed that my ScreenLogic app on my iPhone connects just fine. Both iPhone app and Watch app are the most current version.
Controller is IntelliTouch i5S with firmware 1.130 and the protocol adaptor is version POOL: 5.2 Build 733.0 Rel

Thanks for any help you can give.

Hello, i know this is a 6 month old topic and have not been able to get any help from the Pentair tech support. I called and waited on hold for 45 mins each time i called. They don't have an answer to my question:

How do I get my Apple Watch to connect to my screen logic. I've re-installed, deleted, reconnected and it keeps trying to connect but won't . Any help on this would be appreciated. I've tried rebooting the protocol adaptor and it did not work. Could it be the password?

Hi Erwin, sorry you are having problems with this. Here's what I would try:

Make sure your Apple Watch is updated to the latest version. Same for your iPhone.
Download the PC or Mac version of ScreenLogic or ScreenLogic Config from the App Store. Remove your password if you have one - just to start from a simple state.
Delete ScreenLogic from your iPhone and Apple Watch.
Reinstall ScreenLogic from the App Store. Connect to your pool REMOTELY and then save and rename that connection as "Erwin's Pool" or similar.
Choose to install the ScreenLogic Apple Watch app (using the regular Apple "Watch" app)
Start ScreenLogic on your Apple Watch. It should prompt you to open ScreenLogic on your iPhone. Open it on your iPhone and you should see the Apple Watch sync with the iPhone (it will pull in your Remote Connection(s)).
Now try to connect with the Apple Watch.

If this doesn't work, please private message me and I can further help you troubleshoot. In fact, if you wouldn't mind, send me your Pentair: xx-xx-xx and password and I will check a few things out on our side.

I hope this helps!

Have a good 4th!

Hi David,

Were you ever able to get this to work? I have followed the instructions listed above without any luck. Curious if you have fixed it.

David and Luke - I am trying

David and Luke - I am trying to connect my Apple Watch to Screenlogic as well, as it would be awesome to use this app while in the pool/jacuzzi since it's now waterproof. I have also done all the steps David mentioned above and get the result of the watch saying Connect to: Dan's Pool with the spinning wheel. It then just goes back to the Connect to main screen and will not go into the control area of the app. Any thoughts or help would be greatly appreciated.

I had the same issue with connecting my Apple Watch to ScreenLogic Connect, the pool name would show up in the Apple Watch app but it would just show the spinning icon for a few seconds and return to the name of the pool. To fix this I removed the system password using Screenlogic Connect on my desktop. In the ScreenLogic Connect desktop application, within the Configure ScreenLogic area I removed the password by setting a new password to be just blank. After that once my iPhone app had connected successfully without a password in the remote option, the Apple Watch app would connect without issue.

I had wrestled with this for quite a while...ever since the Apple Watch app came out and I could never successfully get it to connect until today. After removing the password, I did confirm this was the issue by setting the password back again, and as expected my particular setup will not connect with a password in place as after I put a password back in place the Apple Watch app would not connect.
