Will Feature turn Pump on If Pool Circuit isn't On EasyTouch 8?

Hi,

I have EasyTouch 8 and Intelliflo VS.

If I have a time when the Pool circuit isn't running, but I decide I want to swim and hit the Slide feature, should it turn the pool on and then off when I turn off the slide or do I need the Pool circuit on anytime I want to use the features? Right now it doesn't turn it on and I wasn't sure if that is just how it is supposed to be or if my system isn't configured/wired properly. Ho is it supposed to work?

You do not have to have the pool circuit on if you want to run the slide only, your system has the capabilities to activate the pump for a feature such as your slide, if your slide function is assigned to a particular auxiliary, you can assign a pump speed to that circuit that will allow the pump to come on when slide is selected.

Thanks Richard. I thought that was the case, and I have the slide set to a pump speed but it does not turn on the pump if the main pool circuit is off. Other than that, it performs correctly meaning that if the Pool is on and at a lower RPM, it will increase the RPM to my Slide RPM setting and if the pool is running at a higher RPM, it respects that higher RPM as I believe it is designed.

Any idea what might be wrong to cause it not to turn on the system?
