Wrong responses from IntelliTouch i-Link

Reference is made to this Pentair document

"IntelliTouch i-Link Protocol Interface Adapter User's Guide"

Sometimes i-Link fails to respond to serial commands properly.

Example of failure:

Out: #AUX46=1

In: !00 AUX46=0

Per the above document the string "!00" alone means successful command reception and execution and yet the reported status "0" is the opposite of what the command asked for.

It doesn't happen all the time but quite often maybe 20% of the time. To go around this problem I'm trying to issue the command twice with 1 sec interval. I also tried to follow the action command by a status request command like #AUX46 ? Still the problem persist even when the command is issued twice.

I have serial port monitor that is very accurate and also my serial channel to i-Link adapter is clean and solid. So improper reporting or communication problems are out of question. I'd gladly provide screenshots but this forum doesn't allow attachments.

This is a very serious issue for me. Please provide a serious answer and resolution to the problem.
