Intelliflo 2-VST Scheduled Speed problem

Hello,

I have an Intelliflo 2-VST, installed in June, 2016. My pool cleaner is a Hayward Navigator. The pump is programmed to run two separate schedules, plus solar:

Cleaning Schedule from 8 AM - 9:59 AM. This is set in Speed 4, 2750 RPM.

Filtering Schedule from 10:01 AM - 5:00 PM. This is set in Speed 6, 1350 RPM.

Solar (using SolarTouch) comes on automatically as needed. This is set in Ext Ctl Program 2, 2600 RPM. Solar also uses Ext Ctl Program 4, 2750, for solar hold.

My problem is that during the Filtering Schedule run, Speed 4 (2750 RPM) will pop on in Manual mode, all by itself. It then runs a 10 minute cycle repeatedly in an endless loop, unless the pump is stopped. At that point, it will revert back to Filtering until 5 PM. No one is turning this on. It has been happening almost every day for about 3 weeks. This has run through the 5 PM Schedule end -- it was running at 7PM once when I got home late.

Why is a Speed that is set only to "Schedule" turning itself on manually? And with a 10-minute infinite looping run? And doesn't a "Schedule" -- such as Filtering -- have priority over other runs? It seems to happen after the solar hits the target temp and turns off. At least, solar is always off when this occurs. It is NOT the solar hold Program 4.

Can you give me any idea what may be going on here? I was talked through the setup with a tech at your 800 number, and the pump has been running well. My pool has never been cleaner! I have looked at all the pump settings, and checked them against the manual. Something's wrong, clearly. But everything looks normal to me, a non-expert.

I hope you can help, because my pool guy has no idea about the pump. The installers are a solar company, but they too were new to Pentair and needed the tech help.

The only thing that has changed with my equipment lately is that a new inner filter (Hayward) and a new filter pressure gauge were installed a couple weeks ago.

Thank you.
Bo

First you may want to cycle the power down to the pump for about 1 minute to put the pump back to it current schedules, following you may want to verify all schedules that are programmed, this may clear the issue, if not please call us at 1-800-831-7133 for further assistance regarding the issue.
