INTELLIPROXF VSF will not communicate with EasyTouch. NO COMM

Hi,

I have a brand new pool build that has an INTELLIPROXF VSF pump as the main pool pump and it will not communicate with my EasyTouch 8. I get “NO COMM” in the pump status in EasyTouch and the Pump display does NOT say “Display not Active” The pump LCD display just has the standard display of “0 RPM”. All equipment and Easytouch was installed by a professional pool electrician. Everything else seems to work fine except the INTELLIPROXF VSF not communicating with EasyTouch.

Equipment installed:
INTELLIPROXF VSF: this is the Main pool pump and works fine if I turn it on and off at the pump itself . Device number at pump is “1” and is setup as pump 1 in Easytouch. Circuit assigned is “Pool”

Second pump is a IntelliFlow XSF: Spa pump. Connects fine to Easytouch. Device number at pump is “2” and is setup as pump 2 in Easytouch.

ScreenLogic2, Intellichlor IC40, Communication Expansion board are also all working fine and connect as expected to EasyTouch.

I have tried removing everything from the communications network to see if that was causing the issue but that did not work either. I even tried removing the expansion board and connecting the INTELLIPROXF VSF pump directly to the communications port of the Easytouch with no other devices connected and it still would not connect. I just says “No Comm” in the pump status in Easytouch. I even purchased a new com cable to see if the that came with the pump was bad, but that did not fix it either.

What else can I try? Did I get a bad pump? The pump is still under warranty.

If your other devices are communicating with the easytouch and your pump is not, try removing the other devices first from the comm port and connect the pump only and power down the pump for about a minute, see if the pump starts communicating with the easytouch, if this does not work then contact us at 1-800-831-7133 regarding warranty.
