MasterTemp 250 randomly shuts down

6 year old unit, shuts down and triggers service heater light, AFS LED (and a single repeating blink led at the ignition control module). Units restarts after turning off and on, and will runs for many hours maintaining temp cycling on and off as normal, but then shuts down at least twice per day.

Experienced tech looked at the machine. In turn, he replaced the temp regulator, ignitor gasket, the air flow switch, the burner grill/gaskets inside, the fan motor and the main control board. He has checked the wiring hook up to the Intellitouch. Checked the wiring connections. Each time we let the machine go for a day after each item was replaced, the unit kicks off and gives the same code.

I am getting to the point where the cost of continued diagnosis is becoming excessive, and am surprised that I only got six seasons (7months per year over 6 years) out of the unit. Do you have any other ideas of what to look for in fixing this unit? It worked without issue til now.

What is the expected lifespan of this unit?

Make sure that your water flow is consistent and make sure not drawing any air or a dropping into a lower speed that may cut the heater off. Check your thermal regulator and make sure the there is not corrosion present. Lifespan on heaters can vary upon usage and conditions it may be under.
