Pentair Intellichem Upgrade

My acid pumps have been very unreliable, some last a week, others a few months.

I noticed that you have a

Pentair Controller Upgrade Kit 522478Z and
Pentair Tank Mounted Pump 522474

which will replace the existing side mounted pump.
The pump is expensive. My question is, what is the life of this external pump ?
If the pump fails do I have to buy an entire new external unit or does the pump change out and does it use a different pump or does it use the same exact pump that is now mounted on side of the unit.

I also noticed a IntelliChem Service Kit 522152 . What exactly is in this kit

Thanks

Scott

Pentair Controller Upgrade Kit 522478Z and Tank Mounted Pump 522474 will replace the current pump and will upgrade the terminals that the new pump would plug into. No lifespan has been determined at this time, tube replacement is recommended every 6-12 months (pn 522480) on the new pumps. 522152 is a parts kit for older style pump (see link below)

Thanks Richard,

So besides the controller upgrade and the tank mounted pump I would also require those tubes (522480) ? Where do they go ? My intellichem has nothing like them, just the pink and black tubes.

As far as the parts kit for the old style pump ( 522152 ) my question was really what was in the kit. The picture in that link shows a small circuitboard and I wasn't sure what exactly what that was.
