We have 4 multi color Pentair pool lights that are about 8 years old. One now requires replacement. Now that they have all gone LED, will I need to replace the entire system including wiring, etc.? I was told this by a pool company but it seems hard to believe.
Thanks!

The color changing lights (SAM/SAL) have been discontinued and have been replaced with the Intellibrite 5g lights. By replacing one of the lights will not be the same effect as the lights you currently have you will be able the program it in the same color changing mode (sam mode) but will not be able to sync up with the lights you have.

Thanks for the reply. So you are saying that there is no need for re-wiring but that the new 5G light will not sync with the others? Would I be able to set it for one color so that it at least matches the others? I understand I wouldn't be able change them all at the same time.

I have always wondered about

I have always wondered about that some of the pool lights in here are over 15 years old. It have been in my house over 10 years, and I very rarely replaced it as it give a big high intensity spot over the pool. I know I had a great electricians Bala Cynwyd PA which is available at https://www.dndenergy.com who do all the installation of my home and pool and recently I did the garage/downstairs. I agree that replacing one of the lights will not give you the same effect as the other lights you have. So, I think you can replace the one colour with others by selecting one color which will able to suit all other colors and it won't look bad.
