Recently installed Pentair system. Not able to connect to database through iPhone or computer. Error message is could not connect through relay system on the iPhone.

On the PC, the error is cannot connect, address invalid, direct connection failed

Any advice would be appreciated

I have the same problem... has anyone replied to your question? The app works on everyone's iphone in the family but mine (I'm the only iphone 6plus and perhaps it has a conflict)... I have deleted the app many times and replaced it as well as upgraded the phone software. At times I can get on the "Local" button but never the "Remote" button... It's extremely unpredictable. The software has been very disappointing.

Also can't connect to Demo

Also can't connect to Demo system from the iPhone app and can't connect locally. The desktop app also can't connect and reports: Direct connection failed. Cannot connect address invalid.

Waited on hold for 25 minutes

Waited on hold for 25 minutes to find out the Demo server is not working. Tech support was a joke. The guy ran the same program I ran, got the same response "System Not Found" and told me to call the dealer and replace the hardware. No attempt to debug the situation at all.

not an expert-- but here are

not an expert-- but here are some things that have helped me in the past.

It sounds like your Pc and the rest are not seeing the "brick" which should be connected to you network via ethernet cable. Sometimes the issue is a firmware problem, but you cant update the firmware until you PC sees the brick.

If you haven't already, unplug power from the brick ( network adapter)and hold the reset button for a few seconds. Then plug it in and see if your screen logic see it. It should show up in the screenlogic startup screen identifying the number on your brick and its IP address. Try to be sure the brick is connected directly to your router, not through a switch or other device.

If you still do not see the brick try finding it through your computers firewall and allowing it through or just temporarily shut down your fire wall to see if that helps.

If you don't see the brick at this point I'm not sure what else to do. If you do see it you may wish to update the firmware by following the instructions carefully on the pentair downloads site. Be sure to download the Brick Updater to you PC before running it. The updater will only work if it can recognize the brick on your network as well.

Lastly-- sometime a fresh uninstall and reinstall of screenlogic will help.

If all this fails, It may be the brick itself---back to waiting on hold for a new one.

Lastly, Lastly If the PC and screenlogic communicate with the Brick the brick still has to communicate with you equipment (easytouch ect.) via hardwire or wireless adaptor. Hope you get to that point. Hope I have helped.
