I have an easy touch 8 for about the last 5 years and recently upgraded the Pentair wireless so that I could buy the ScreenLogic hardware to enable use of the iPhone/iPads to control the pool. All went fine and out of the box everything worked. The only problem I had was I never got the "remote" connection to work, but I suspect I know why that is (just a hunch it has to do with my firewall). Oh, and I never got the Video & Lighting patch/upgrade to work, but everything still seemed to work fine.
We used the Screenlogic from our mac and mobile devices for about 2 weeks no problems.
I had some heater problems so while troubleshooting that, I had to jumper the fireman switch (and thus disconnected the EasyTouch Heater relay for an hour or so). After putting it all back together, thinking I had a Pentair motherboard issue (EasyTouch). I realized my iPhone connection was acting real strange. When I logged in to change settings, the app was showing things on that were not, and visa versa... when I clicked buttons to change things, it wasn't changing anything.
So I decided to go back to the Mac to log in with Screenlogic from there. Screen logic appears to see the Protocal adapter (I believe you guys call this the BRICK). I also see the IP of the system (again, I presume the Brick). However, when I try to connect and "configure" ScreenLogic it just sits there... If I try to launch "start Screenlogic" it just sits there... (in both cases it never connects)
I have rebooted the systems, and reset the brick multiple times... nothing changes. unplugged and replugged everything multiple times...
I've rerun the BRICK update (no problems) and the Lighting update (doesn't work - but didn't on the first install either).
At this point I suspect either a) the wireless device next to the Brick (It doesn't seem to talk much e.g. the Tx/Rx lights) or the Wireless card on the other end. Is there some form of test I can run to confirm if there is a problem with card or the Pentair wireless by the Brick?
Thanks in advance.
