Hello i am designing a LAP POOL dimesion 45' x 7'-6" x 3'-6" (it's about 9000 Gal.)

no water feature no spa just a simple lap pool to swim

which type of pump would you suggest i was thinking about a pentair variable speed

some render i made of the project (the house will be built at same time, there is nothing there right now and i am free to choose any type of system obviously not one exaggeratedly expensive but neither the cheapest a good balance)

what the size of filter and all those stuff do i need? This is the first time i design a home with a pool. Something generic just to have an idea so i can narrow down my research.

Jacopo,
A variable speed pump would be a good investment for this pool but sizing of filter and other equipment would need to be left to a pool builder who is informed on hydraulics and flow rates for your pool. I know that there are several on this forum that should be able to assist further, but if not, take a look at the dealer locator we have on our website for a company in your area: http://www.pentairpartners.com/dealerlocator/dealerlocatorlist.aspx

Thanks i send an email to the site too i just don't want to ask to one contractor yet till i have an idea by my own through some research (and forum) ultimately i have 3 or 4 name in the area to which i will talk to

Anyway the house is going through permit and i still have 2 to 3 month before things get really moving.

This is why i am writing here and patiently wait to be pointed in the right direction to make a more educated research as i went to pentair site and there is really too much and most doesn't even apply to my "small/simple" pool

I did my homework ^_^

I did my homework ^_^

Filter i was thinking
or DE (pentair SMBW 4048 - 47sqf)
or CARTRIDGE (CCRP200 - 200sqf)

as pump i really dont understand the difference between these 2
Pentair SuperfloVS
OR
Pentair SupermaxVS
(they even cost the same!)

I am sure someone will be able to show some light without me going through the spec-sheet... i downloaded them but i will go through them tonight (or wait that pentair call me back ^_^ and ask directly at them)

How to clean the pool: I would say Suction Pool Cleaner (and if the owner is really lazy i will tell him to go Robotic / Electronic Automatic Pool Cleaners)

Chlorine: to make it easy i would say "LIQUID" but if someone can point me in the direction of any intresting TABLET system i don't mind looking at it

For the media of filter, it mostly comes down to how much maintenance you want to do. With DE, cleaning is easier as all you need to do is perform a backwash but must add DE back into the system. With a cartridge, cleaning is more involved as you need to pull the cartridges out every time to clean but do not need to perform any more steps.
Between the SuperFlo Vs and SuperMax VS, there really are no differences except for color. The former is branded under our Pentair name and the former out Sta-Rite name. If you haven’t picked a VS pump yet, I would recommend looking at our IntelliFlo VS pumps as they offer more flexibility to programming and can be placed on a schedule for start times instead of a simple 24 cycle like the original ones you investigated. You would even receive a 3 year warranty when installed professionally instead of a standard 1 year.

You can factor the flow rate

You can factor the flow rate you need using this pool calculator https://poolchemicalcalculator.com to help size the pump.
