That's why a number of utility companies are offering rebate incentives to pool owners for the purchase of energy-efficient swimming pool pumps.

City of Poway, California is offering a $300 rebate through June 30, 2011 or until their fund runs out. Residents are also eligible for a $200 SDG&E rebate -- so $500 rebate combined!  See www.poway.org for details.
