"Everything seems fine now. I think the issue was I was changing the schedules while it was in one, so it didn't know what to do and shut down. All good now. I will try and take some video of the pump speeds one of these days so you can hear the…"

Setting schedules with Suntouch panel and VS pump

Hello,My system is running fine, however, I would like to set up two schedules (currently have one schedule running with solar heating when available), one from 8:30am to 1:00pm with solar heat if available and one from 1:00pm to 3:30pm without any solar heat.  I tried setting up a 'high' and 'low' schedule with solar on high and not on low with corresponding schedules as above but the system was not operating as desired. Am I doing something wrong? What is the easiest way to accomplish…See More

"Nothing seems to be rubbing.  The pump is very quiet at low speeds, but quite noisy at higher speeds.  I guess they are not as whisper quiet as claimed."

"I think the sensors are installed correctly.  I will have to play with it some more I guess and see if it helps.  The pool doesn't reach the set temperature when the solar starts turning on and off. So, it must be an issue with the…"

Optimum Solar Sensor Settings

Hello everyone. My solar system (intelliflo, suntouch) is operating and seems to be doing a pretty good job.  However, when the pool approaches the set temperature, the solar system turns on and off repeatedly after only several seconds to a couple minutes.  I have my pool set temp set to 32c, solar on temp diff to 6 and solar off temp diff to 2.  I've played with these settings a bit, but still have the problem.  Could it be the solar sensor placement or something else?  I'm not sure what to do…See More

"I think it is finally set up properly.  Thanks for the info.  I do have one more question.  In the pump manual it says the pump onboard priming settings override the Suntouch priming settings.  And also, the pump max. speed…"

Dave Stewart replied to Dave Stewart's discussion 'Programing Suntouch - single body of water'
"Excellent, that might be the simplest solution.  If the system is set via the schedules to turn on at 9am for example, would pressing the down button at 8am in the above scenario turn the system on or would it have to be already running…"

Dave Stewart replied to Dave Stewart's discussion 'Programing Suntouch - single body of water'
"Thanks for the reply.  So, if I understand, moving the relay for the intellichlor to the pump socket would eliminate the need to set up a Aux1 circuit in the VS pump menu and I would just set up high/low and…"

Programing Suntouch - single body of water

HelloYesterday I just upgraded to the new Intelliflo VS pump and Suntouch controller.  Programing the controller is a little confusing given my setup.  It is as follows:- pool only, no spa- solar collectors on roof- solar actuator connected to valve C- solar and water sensors attached to Suntouch- Intellichlor IC-15 (no comm available to panel)Since the IC-15 cannot be directly wired to the Suntouch, power to Intellichlor provided by elec. outlet wired to Suntouch relay connected to Aux 1.The…See More
