"HI, just some honest feedback from consumer who often uses the web for purchases.  I would only ask the merchant to match other competition.  One would be fool to buy for pennies less on line when an expert is nearby.  Just keep…"

"Daniel, I know of no other flange kit or union to retrofit to your Jandy filter, you should go with orginal manufacturers equipment. If your filter pump and equipment is above pool level no water should run uphill to your equipment when you cut into…"

"It's pretty easy to unpack a TV, Fax Machine, Computer Printer, etc., plug it in & make it work right out of the box. Not true of a VFD pump, automated control, filter or heater. Having a qualified installer set it up is a must. In most…"

"I'd like to see Pentair and many other manufacturers give extended warranties for those of us that have their training and install their product correctly. This might help us a little combat the web sales. I understand one of the other…"

"This kinda goes the other way. When you goto by a TV or a new electronic item for your home or business? Do you look online for the best price or goto Sam's or Costco for the best price? What about the little guy intown that sells TVs or even…"

"David, Most Big manufacturers offer an extended warranty if you are a "partner". Ask your rep, and if you do not get the answer you want, go over his/her head. I offer 3 years on most manufacturers if I have more than 3 items from same.…"

"We offer a two years parts warranty on any system component purchased from us. We use the slogan "buy with piece of mind". Often times that means more than the savings offered from the internet. Be sure to ask what handling is. Sites…"

"I am not a retailer, I am a builder. I often get referred by past customers only to find the equipment was previously purchased on-line. I simply double my install rates and inform the customer that I will not warranty the item. If they choose me, I…"

I'd call the panel manufacturers first to see if they have another solar company that will honor the warranty and except payment from the panel manufacturer, second I'd check into your home warranty plan to see if it's covered. If these do not work out then I'd call around to other solar companies and see if anyone works on your style of solar system, try to get a free estimate if possible or pay a small service charge. Your solar system is only 5 years old and you should have many more years of life on it.

OK, here goes. I currently have a solar heating system for my pool that was installed about 5 years ago. It is located on the roof of my home and initially worked fairly well to get us a few more months of pool use for the season. Unfortunately, the system (comprised of solar tubes) started leaking badly and the installer is no longer in business (the owner actually passed away), so there is no place to get warranty work done for the remainder of the warranty time (10 years). At this point, my only option is to replace the entire system with the latest panels. My pool is a 28k gallon, 20x38 foot inground pool and required a large system to heat it.
