Possible blockage in spa plumbing

"instead of going to a larger filter try a bypass on filter to use when you want bubbles and close the bypass when you want it to filter"

"Hi Rick, sorry but I just now saw that you posted this reply.  Thanks again for your time as usual.  When I turn on the air blower it seems that I get water out of most of the jets but it definitely isn't as good the further down the…"

"Yes, that seems to be the problem.  I honestly don't think that this plumber had any knowledge of how to calculate hydraulics and just plumbed it the same way as he had done for all of his smaller spas (6-8 jets and probably closer to the…"

"the max amount of water that  2" pipes can handle is 111 gpm at 11 fps  but with hydralic restriction probably 70-80 gpm but that can only be determined by using test guages on pump  if the jets have smaller openings 12.5 gpm 5…"

"If the air line gets flooded or has dips in it so that the air cannot get past it, the water will literally become a plug in the line, but I assume when you turn on the blower you get plenty of air coming through the jets no?  As well if he did…"

"I was told by the referred plumbers (after looking at my pics) that the air line was connected to all 10 jets and he did install an air blower as part of the system.  They seemed to think that he should have done two separate air lines (each…"

"We are still likely missing something.  There is no way 5 jets should not function properly with 2" plumbing.  Is the air loop restricted?  Do you have a blower? "

Question on pump setup

Hello, just had an inground spool installed (approx 1300 galls) with a spillover into a small pool that is approx 400 galls.  I also have a waterfall that dumps into the spa.  My equipment is approx 100' away from the spa and the spa is slightly elevated (approx 3-4').  We have two of the Intelliflow pumps VS 3050.  One is running our waterfall (overkill I know, but wanted to be able to dial in the precise flow) and another pump that is being used for 10 jets in spa and circulation both.  The… Continue
