Winter Maintenance Plan for warmer areas

Hey there. So I understand the whole concept of "pool opening" and "Pool closing. And in the western states and California, perhaps the winter closing is much simpler. For example, in California, I get no snow and rarely any freezing temperatures. So I do not need to be so concerned about covers, draining, winterizing pipes, etc. But what is my winter maintenance plan? In other words, what types of things do I need to do, and what frequency, when my water is unused, and sits at about 50 degrees…See More

"what is the best combination of main pump and pool cleaner pump? i have heard best to go with a pumpless pool cleaner, but i guess that requires a large high-volume main pump. so if you install a IntelliFlo VF and run it at low volume (most…"

"So in the end, I upgraded to a Variable Flow pump. Even though it is an extra $300, it seems worth it for all the ease of programming it provides. Alternatively, add a $150 flow meter.   Once I had the flow issues down, I set my pump to run 24…"

I just had a new 011018 installed. Now i need to program it for optimal use, energy-savings, etc, based on my specific pool setup. Any ideas where I can get info on how to program my pump optimally? Such as, RPM, Schedule, and settings for Spa, vs. pool, and settings for filtering, pool cleaner cycle, etc. There is a lot of great features on this pump. And it is very much controllable and programmable; but very little info on how to design a program to fit your specific needs.   See More
