Michael Gambill replied to Rick Chafey buildredrock.com's discussion 'Suggestions for Pentair Product Improvements or Developments'
@Ben    That would be a pricey proposal as you are then asking the homeowner to demo out a new light niche which might not even be possible if the Savi is in a shallow location that a spa size Intellibrite wont fit.  …

Michael Gambill replied to Rick Chafey buildredrock.com's discussion 'Suggestions for Pentair Product Improvements or Developments'
Set the Savi units up as "generic".   Keep your cheat sheet handy for the lights as they use a "turn off and count the seconds" method of  changing modes.    The Pentair lights use a "cycle off…

Roberto Awad replied to Rick Chafey buildredrock.com's discussion 'Suggestions for Pentair Product Improvements or Developments'
Thanks. Since it is not made by pentair, what is the best set up for the Savi light? Would it be better to use it just a generic "light", SAM, SAL or any other suggestions?

Scott Bair replied to Rick Chafey buildredrock.com's discussion 'Suggestions for Pentair Product Improvements or Developments'
All three use incompatible sync signals so they won't sync. The only thing I can think of would be to set them to on individual relays and manually set each for the desired color or built in light shows for each using a macro. Scott

The savi light isn't made by Pentair.  So not sure if it will work with their controller.

Roberto Awad replied to Rick Chafey buildredrock.com's discussion 'Suggestions for Pentair Product Improvements or Developments'
I just got a new system for my pool. It has Intellibrite, Savi lights and Pentair Magic Stream. I have been playing with the configuration of my Intellitouch to see if I can get it to work in sync with no luck. What is the best way to do so. The…

Mike Osborn replied to Rick Chafey buildredrock.com's discussion 'Did you have a bad experience during the building process?'
For us, the worst part was the time elapsed between signing the contract and actually getting water in our IG pool. We signed the contract on August 22, and didn't have water in the pool until January 3rd or so.  Second concern was our PB…

Rick Chafey buildredrock.com replied to Jake Gilmer's discussion 'Any plumbers out there?'
If the air line gets flooded or has dips in it so that the air cannot get past it, the water will literally become a plug in the line, but I assume when you turn on the blower you get plenty of air coming through the jets no?  As well if he did…

Rick Chafey buildredrock.com replied to Jake Gilmer's discussion 'Any plumbers out there?'
We are still likely missing something.  There is no way 5 jets should not function properly with 2" plumbing.  Is the air loop restricted?  Do you have a blower?

Rick Chafey buildredrock.com replied to Paul's discussion 'Transformer size for 12V LED light (part # 601010)'
I am presuming that this is an additional requirement they have made outside of the NEC.  It is unfortunate when city's make changes to a solid existing code, usually based on bad information.  There is millions of pools with 120V…

Rick Chafey buildredrock.com replied to Paul's discussion 'Transformer size for 12V LED light (part # 601010)'
I am not sure what city you are in, but the NEC is usually the most restrictive when it comes to building codes as well as the IBC, but both of them provide for using 120V pool lights, always have and always likely will.   Local jurisdictions…

Why the Intelliflo is the only pump we use!

We use the Pentair Intelliflo and Intellipro pumps as the minimum standard on every project we build, and have been for years. The amazing thing is that we don't just spec these pumps for any one reason. It is true that some reasons are more compelling or have more significance, but the reality is, using this pump creates the most efficient, long lasting pool plumbing system and the easiest filtered and chemically balanced pool; and that is just the start.

I intend to try… Continue
