Error in wiring the IntelliFlo

Anyone can help, please. The pool builder made an error in wiring the IntelliFlo. Based on EU spec, there is L port (for hot wire) and N port (for neutral wire). If L line or hot wire is wired to N port by mistake, could it lead to any damage to control drive or not ? After the mistaken wiring, the pump was run for an hour. Then, permanently stopped. LCD screen and all warning lamps were deactivated.
