Doughboy skimmer

I have a customer that has a doughboy through wall skimmer installed and the cover does not fit correctly it falls in to the skimmer anyone else have this problem?

I have not had this problem however, some of the Doughboy skimmer lids double as the vacuum plate.  If it is falling into the skimmer it may be possible that a notch  or grabbing point is missing.  I would inspect the skimmer and lid for him and be sure he is trying to put it on correctly.
